Same Old boring regime for the next 5 years

The UPA has won the elections again. This means that we'll have to be content with the same superPMO arrangement and where the government never responds to what the people have to say.
An NDA win, although not a very good alternative, would have meant atleast the, more or less, same policies being implemented by other faces, though I dont like LK advani 1 bit.


So lets look at the Winners for the UPA:
1. The Secular keyword:
I would say that this is just a keyword that has been blatantly been misused by the congress and its allies and would be continued to be used until the general public sees through their evil designs."What evil designs?" somebody would say. Ans: Same as any other political party's.

2. Loan Waiver:
The worst precedent set by any government can be the Mandal commision report implementation. This comes a close second. This is why the AAM aadmi voted for the congress again to keep getting the benefits.

3. OBC reservation:
The remaining recommendations of the Mandal commission report also have been implemented to raise the reservations for the OBCs. The people getting the benefit of these are voting for the congress. 27% of the country would consist of these people. please do something about this reservation or the middle class which is not considered to be backward will have to go in for private insitutions which will make the EBCs(economically backward Classes).



Now some of the things that might have been implemented had the NDA come to power
1. The River crosslinking scheme:
This is one scheme for which I think the educated farmers would, rather should, have voted for the NDA
If the UPA wants itself to be completely with the aam aadmi(KISAN)and is listening, please get the blueprint of this scheme from the NDA and implement it straight after the forming the government.

2. the IT vision document:
The BJP should have highlighted this document atleast in the Urban ares. Nevertheless, the UPA should get hold of it and implement it so that the country is not pushed back in this era of slowdown.

The one thing that the NDA has to do, if it wants to come to power the next time around, is to choose a leader who has a more intellectual and development based image e.g. Narendra MODI, Arun Jaitley.

So best of luck to the congress and its allies to form a stable and strong government at the centre and work for the benefit of the people.

5 things IPL can do without

1. Cheerleaders (- why should our cricket watching experience be marred by some semi-naked girls. One thing I don't understand is, that if people are willing to pay money to watch sachin or sehwag or gilchrist play to their full potential to entertain them, why waste money on cheerleaders. after all 20-20 is supposed to be watched by the whole family.

2. strategic time-out- just because the IPL owners have to recruit these cheerleaders and pay them the money, thay have to squeeze in more ads, thus the strategic time-out.

3. Kolkata Knight Riders- we all love the way gayle plays , It is a pity to see him always on the losing side :(. Please dissolve this team

4. Hinglish commentary- Just get that host (what's his name?) out of our sight and let Harsha Bhogle host extra innings direct from the venue. Someone tell IPL owners to exchange Gaurav with Gautam Bhimani. Say No To Mandira Bedi. Sidhu would be a great addition to the commentary team.

5. less number of teams - we need to have many more teams so that all the stars are able to perform and are not left stranded on the bench

courage of conviction

the courage of one's convictions: the confidence to act according to one's beliefs

This is a phrase which has been in my mind(and Heart) for quite some time (actually my entire life). Our principal at school - Commodore V N Narayanan, was very much a man of principles. He always kept stressing upon this phrase in his daily speeches.
I want to add, here, that these were THE best speeches(talks) I have heard till now.

This, as I realise now, was the mantra for my life till class 12th. I had sub conciously been influenced by His words that I followed them religiously and backed myself against all adversities. Nobody gave me a chance at securing the second position in class 10th. Nobody , in their wildest dreams, had thought I would crack IIT-JEE. But these are things I did go on to achieve, however small their significance to the world.
This has all been due to the courage of conviction. But here I must confess that I have not followed this principle for the last 3 years and my life has been a drag.
I am now trying to get back to my old life. That life promises less friends yet greater satisfaction.

I hope that people reading this might get a little inspired and try and develop the courage of conviction and respect others people's views. The world will be a much better place to live if all the people had the courage of conviction to do what they feel is right for the country and the world as a whole.
